Dubai duty-free annual sales touch $1.74bn in 2022

Dubai Duty Free achieved annual sales of $1.74bn in 2022, marking a 78 per cent increase compared to the previous year.

The operation recorded an average of 46,912 sales transactions per day, with a staggering 47.302 million units of merchandise sold.

To protect this growth, the industry must make a concerted effort to stamp out illicit trade and counterfeiting in 2023.

The Duty Free: Trusted, Transparent, Secure campaign is consequently calling on retailers worldwide to stand shoulder to shoulder with brand owners and those on the front line in the fight against these crimes.
